MEET VAJAHAT

Vajahat Banday, P. Eng., PE (Michigan), MSEE, MSCE

 

 I am a candidate for Western Region Councillor

I have been a professional engineer in Ontario since 2008, and Professional Engineer in State of Michigan since 2006. I have more than 20 years of engineering experience. I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from Regional Engineering College, India and Master of Science in Computer Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (both from Western Michigan University, Michigan, USA).

 

I have been volunteering for PEO since 2007.

As a professional engineer, I am knowledgeable & supportive of issues related to Practice of Engineering in the Province of Ontario.

 

I believe in working hard to solve PEO membership issues.

Time is money. We are yet to reach consensus on the issues of formalizing Chapter bylaws and launching of Aptify software (Phase II). As an elected councillor, I will work with other council members to have timely decision on pending issues.

Accomplishments

  • Re-started Georgian Bay Chapter in 2009. In 2010, Georgian Bay Chapter had its first AGM after being dormant and inactive for several years.

  • Successfully organized 8 technical seminar presentations for Georgian Bay Chapter members over  the period of 15 months
